How to Maintain Lasting Results

Have you ever found something that finally worked for your acne (congratulations!!), only to have it come back a few months, or even a few years later? Sadly, this is very common. It happened to me 3 times, and I've seen it happen to countless clients over the years.

Whether you cleared your skin with our acne program, or even medication like antibiotics or Accutane, it's important to understand that clear skin is an ongoing process. Acne can't be cured, but it can be managed so that you can have clear skin, even while you still have acne.

A shift in mindset is all you need to make sure your skin stays acne-free for years.

Here are my best tips for lasting results:

  • Avoid Pore-Clogging Products – The #1 easiest mistake to make? Rushing back to using makeup or skincare products that contain pore-clogging ingredients. Pore clogging ingredients will cause acne every, single time and your skin will start breaking out again in 4-6 weeks. Don't let this be you - even one pore-clogging ingredient will undo all of your hard work!

  • Stay a Step Ahead of Your Acne – Acne doesn't have a cure, but it can be managed. Once your skin clears up, it's important to keep following an acne-safe skin care routine. A product like mandelic serum is essential in preventing dead skin cells from building up inside your pores - the start of all acne.

  • Avoid Dietary Triggers – Avoiding a few ingredients makes a huge difference. While you don't need to follow a strict regimen, staying away from certain foods that trigger acne is important to maintaining your results (yes, we're looking at you whey protein, peanut butter, and B12!)

To help you stay on track, I've created a Clear Skin Checklist for you to read through every now and then, or anytime you start to break out again.

It's my tried-and-true list of the most common sneaky causes of breakouts to help you maintain your skin for long-term results.
