With a 95% Success Rate, Let’s Talk About The Other 5%
In the past 18+ years, I've been fortunate to help thousands of people clear their acne, maintaining an impressive 95% success rate with my clients. But there's a small percentage—about "5%"—who have been more challenging than the rest.
Now, before you think, “That's me. I've tried everything and nothing works,” let me reassure you:
Most people who feel like their acne is impossible are often dealing with the wrong information. It's that simple. In 95% of cases, clearing acne is predictable, easy and simply requires the right formula. Most of my clients are completely clear in as little as 12 weeks, even those who've worked with dermatologists for years.
So, what's going on with that remaining 5%?
It comes down to one mistake I've made, in almost all of the cases.
Here's what I've learned over the years: Even the best acne products won't work if there's a hidden trigger causing your breakouts.
If I fail to identify this hidden issue so you can avoid it, setbacks are almost inevitable. I've seen it happen in every “stubborn” case that I've had. Acne is always caused by something, it is never just random.
What kinds of things can cause these setbacks?
Clogging ingredients in your skincare, makeup, or hair products or supplements.
A water softener in your home
Something as simple as carageenan in your coffee creamer.
Your makeup brushes being cleaned with a clogging cleanser
Kissing a partner who uses lip products or beard balm with pore-clogging ingredients
Energy drinks or protein shakes
And, sometimes, someone gives up too soon, getting impatient and quitting before we can find the hidden cause.
When I do have a stubborn case, I have a deep-dive process I use to find out what we missed. And even then, the cause can be hard to find. But if we dig deep enough, we can almost always find something that's causing the problem.
Just one change—sometimes as simple as switching your almond milk with B12 in it, quitting energy drinks, or cleaning makeup brushes differently—makes all the difference.
